3 months: causes of crying

A fairly active physical development of the baby begins. Remember that the basis for bone health is a sufficient dose of vitamin D3. Since birth, all children are advised to take this vitamin to prevent rickets. Vitamin D is not enough in breast milk.

If the baby is on mixed or artificial feeding, then make sure that he receives daily at least 400 IU of vitamin D from the adapted mixture. If not, then just give him daily vitamin D3 for prophylaxis (prophylactic dose is up to 1000 IU / day).

A three-month-old baby already distinguishes between mom, dad and everyone else. His emotions are becoming more diverse. He highlights the adults he knows well and reacts to their approach with a broad smile.

Until now, the main means of communication with others is crying. However, depending on the reason, crying is different, any mother will confirm this to you. Mom’s hungry crying is very well separated from all other types of anxiety. A child can cry for various reasons: hunger, a dirty diaper, anxiety, abdominal pain, fatigue, or he was just scared and calls for mom.

Any baby is well and comfortable in her mother’s arms. In the hands of an adult, he begins to contact the outside world, because now he can move around the apartment and view the surrounding space. He has many emotions that he already knows how to express with the help of facial expressions and babble.

Child Skills
♦ Hand movements become smoother and more meaningful. He can independently take a toy in his hand, he can actively swing a rattle clasped in his hand.

♦ Knows how to turn over from back to side and back, throw a leg for a full flip on the stomach.

♦ Holds the head for a long time lying on its stomach.

♦ Tears the chest from a horizontal surface, tries to lift on the elbows.

♦ Actively uses in his hands, examines his fingers.

The game is the main mechanism for the development of the child in childhood. Every day he plays longer and more meaningful, but it is important to notice when he begins to get tired, and put him to bed in time. If the child is overexcited, then putting him to bed will be problematic, and the dream will be restless.

How to organize a child’s life
As in any other period of childhood, the mode of play and rest is now important. The wakefulness time by three months is increased to 1 h. 30 min. – 1 h. 50 min. After this, the mother may notice the first signs of fatigue.

Many children do not actively show signs of fatigue, but if after 1 hour 40 minutes. – 1 h. 50 min. try to put them to bed, then they fall asleep easier than, for example, after 2 hours 30 minutes. This is explained by the very same overexcitation of the nervous system, which is not yet ready for overloads and for which the regime is important. Rare three-month-old children sleep at night for 6 hours in a row without waking up. Usually a baby wakes up 1-3 times during the night.

Adaptation of the baby to parents (and parents to him) has already passed. Mom and Dad are used to the fact that there are now three (or more) of them. Therefore, actively maintaining communication with friends and family outings are important for young parents. No need to fence off from your previous life. This is fraught with depression and anxiety.

What can a child learn
Games at three months may be more diverse. Since the baby is already actively controlling his hands, more attention can be paid to the development of fine motor skills. Various finger exercises, nursery rhymes – that will help him develop not only motility, but also hearing and emotions. In addition, the child can be offered toys with different types of surfaces: soft silicone teethers, hard rattles, and so on.

Initial development of speech
At three months, active humming appears. Every day the child learns to pronounce more and more new sounds. A conversation with a child will help you maintain a walk, so that he sees your lips move, as you say.

Over the third month, a child gains an average of about 800 grams in weight. However, on exclusively breastfeeding the increase can be quite large (even up to 2 kg), and there is nothing to worry about.
